I agree with many of the men in their reviews. It is a great product but the iner plastic broke on my groomer as well and although it still works, it does not work as well.

I mostly use mine to self groom my back, it reaches all areas with little effort. For other areas it has a clever height guide and does a good job. It easily mows down the 12 holdout hairs on my dome and it doesn't hurt my scalp when doing so.

I've only used this item once since purchasing it, but I have to say I'm impressed overall with its performance. It does exactly what it's supposed to: allows me to groom those sensitive areas quickly without having to worry about possible nicks or hair pulls. Easily it the best method I come across so far. Its light weight, shape, plus the fact that it stays cool make it very easy to manipulate while using (especially compared to the old electric hair clippers I was using before I bought the BG2030. The included heads and adjustable guards give you plenty of options for cutting to different lengths as well.
My only complaints: the base is required to charge the unit. That's another piece I need to worry about carrying when traveling. I would have preferred it if I had the option (as I do on my Panasonic shaver) to plug the BG2030 directly into the wall outlet without the base. It would have been nice if they had included a case or pouch as well, but I guess I could find something suitable online.
