Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Green Mountain Green Mountain Coffee offers an extensive collection of the finest coffees you'll ever enjoy, made with Arabica beans sourced from exotic coffee-producing regions throughout the world. Guided by a series of socially conscious principles, the company prides itself on helping to preserve the pristine environments and indigenous cultures where these beans are grown. Of course Green Mountain's hot cocoa had to be chocolatey and rich. It had to have a lip-smacking body and a tasty finish. Relax, sit back and retreat from the cold winter blues with this rich and creamy, chocolate delight that satisfies the tongue and soothes the soul.

1 out of 5 stars Boring, Flavorless, Lackluster Hot Cocoa   December 31, 2008
Henry Lee (Trumbull, CT USA)
I love my Keurig and I was ecstatic about the hot cocoa option. My Keurig came with this flavor as part of the variety pack, and I have to say, it was probably the worst hot cocoa I have ever had. Hardly any taste. Pretty much tasted like very watered-down hot chocolate.

The only question I have now is whether there are other brands that make a good Keurig hot cocoa, or if the concept of hot cocoa in a k-cup is one that just doesn't work.

In my opinion this cocoa is pretty blah. Weak, with a really awful after taste.

I was keeping an open mind when trying the hot chocolate as I had read many of the reviews. The ones that expressed dissatisfaction were right on. Felt it was extremely watery and tasteless and that was using the smallest cup setting. I would suggest using the machine just to heat the water and use a packet of hot chocolate (Swiss Miss, etc.)

When all the dried cocoa is used up in the K-Cup the cocoa is pretty good. But two out of three times my brewer leaves 1/3 of dry mixture in the bottom of the K-Cup. When this happens you get a cup of chocolate water. Might as well say you have thrown away fifty cents. Stick to the old fashioned cocoa packages and set your brewer to the hot water setting.

1 out of 5 stars Ugh!   December 7, 2008

Just tried this in my Keurig Mini and it is awful. I wanted to use only 5-6 oz. of water, but the Mini insists that you use 8 oz., therefore the chocolate was watery with very little chocolate flavor.

I'll stick to milk mixed with Midnight Moo from Trader Joe's or a hot chocolate powder like Ghiradelli.
