Product Description
Rebecca Bloomwood has the dream job. She's a personal shopper, so is able to spend other people's money all day instead of her own. And she gets paid for doing it. The perfect job, the perfect man - gorgeous Luke Brandon - and now...the perfect wedding. Yes, Luke has proposed and wedding bells are in sight. No excuses are needed to start the shopping trip of all time. And Becky's parents are just assuming that the wedding will be at home - a marquee in the garden and Becky in her mum's wedding dress, which she's been saving specially for the occasion. But Luke's mother has very different ideas - a huge affair in New York in a forest glade setting - or perhaps a Venetian Ball, or a fin de siecle extravagance? Now Becky's getting confused. She doesn't want to say 'no' to anyone. The plans are going ahead, and soon it will be too late to turn back - from either wedding...

5 out of 5 stars Another Fun Shopaholic Tale!   June 17, 2009
Pamela S. Lee (North Carolina)
If you like the Shopaholic series, you'll most likely enjoy this book. Becky is, as ever, in a royal mess and goes through amazing (and amusing) contortions to get herself out of it. The only complaint I have is with the way Kinsella is developing the character of Luke. He's difficult to connect with. One minute he's moody, and the next he's loving and perhaps a bit too accepting of Becky's crazy scheme. I'm finding it hard to really conceptualize him in my mind. Other than that, I think this addition to the Shopaholic saga is a gem!

Another fun-filled adventure with my favorite chick lit chick. Wish I was invited to that New York wedding...

5 out of 5 stars Even more fun!   May 1, 2009
Yolanda S. Bean (Chicago, IL)
I think I liked this one the most, actually! I mean, the solution was rather obvious, but the book managed to be fresh and exciting. All in all, this series has been much more fun to read than I expected! And they certainly are fast reads! Not to mention the fact that I am even more curious about the movie. I wonder if they will make five movies?
I must admit, one detail really bothered me: in a Sleeping Beauty wedding, why would the "exit" song be "Someday My Prince Will Come" when that song is from _Snow White_? I mean, how did that slip by? Did no one watch Sleeping Beauty? It's only the best Disney movie...

5 out of 5 stars Very Addicting!   April 13, 2009

This book was easy to read, funny and just very cute. I definitely recommend this series to the ladies who want a good laugh and to forget about everything else. Enjoy! I know I sure did. I loved the whole series of books and definitely think the books are much better than the movie.

3 out of 5 stars Somewhat disappointed   March 27, 2009
J. Currie (USA)
I loved the first two books in the Shopaholic series. In fact, it's a toss up as to which one is better between Confessions of a Shopaholic and Shopaholic Takes Manhattan. However, I was somewhat disappointed with this book. I found myself getting annoyed with Becky Bloomwood and the story line. To me, it seems like this book is the same as Shopaholic Takes Manhattan but just a different situation for the main character. I was fed up with Becky Bloomwood always being so weak and unable to speak up for herself. It just seemed to get a little old for me by the third book. I'm not sure if I'll continue on with these books after this one. Unfortunately, I think I need a break from the Shopaholic.
