This 4-DVD Set is absolutely great. I was afraid it might not match Movie Studio closely enough (I have Sony Movie Studio 7 + DVD Platinum). I can see why all the reviews have been 5 stars. Now I wish I had the the "full" Vegas Editor and time-line envelopes and scripting. A great, great Workshop. Ed G.

DSE's done it again with this superb tutorial set... his book is a great desktop reference... having it all come alive, which is needed, using the DVDs was important to me.... Vegas is a relatively difficult application at first, with a long learning curve... DSE cuts through it all in a friendly, easy to understand manner with superb video clarity (of course) and shows you Exactly how to use all of Vegas basic through advanced techniques. This is Just what I needed to help me learn the ins and outs of Vegas, and was all I'd hoped it would be. It's worth the $, as it will save me many hours of trial-and-error. This DVD set provides superb teaching skills and hands-on knowledge that is highly recommended. I'd never heard of him til recently, on the vegas forum, and after getting his well-written book, I decided to spring for the DVD tutorial. It's critical, eg the book is a good reference after you've seen the DVDs... to learn Vegas 4 it's important to have the DVDs to watch, so you can see him edit various pieces on the timeline, and explain the nuts and bolts and how to use all the advanced edit features. Get this DVD set - it's packed with 6 hours of how-to essential information. It will save me weeks of time. Thanks!

Doug captures your attention right from the start and keeps it. Soon you are in the heart of things. I would suggest you view this tutorial on a seperate player next to your Vegas software so you can experiment as you go. I am giving this 4.5 stars only because his pointer was hard to detect and follow. It should have been a bold red color or flashing perhaps. In addition to that because I am a "Novice of the first form" I was hoping he would tell you how to switch back and forth from a frontal and sideshot view of a speaker on two cameras/tracks and keep the sound in sync. Other than that it was an excellent piece of work for the used purchase price. I am very comfortable with spending $80 to $100 for this set. Over $100 in my opinion is a little pricey.

This 4 DVD set is by far the best video training that I have ever seen! I was just scratching the surface of Vegas 4's features. This video showed me how to do a lot little things to improve my sessions and a lot of big thing I didn't even know Vegas could do.Go buy this set!

Fantastic tool! I've been editing with vegas for about 6 months before I acquired this tool, and I can't belive how much I didn't know. Douglas Spotted Eagle is interesting to listen to and its nice because he explains why things should be done this way.
