Only Le Creuset can take the ordinary whisk and make it extraordinary. Fully encased in Caribbean Blue silicone, its wires will not scratch non-stick or metal surfaces and its ergonomic handle is comfortable to use and grip. As with all of Le Creuset's silicone, the new whisk is heat resistant to 800 degrees F and is dishwasher safe. The title says it all! I have now purchased two of these in different colors because they are a delight to use. My arms do not tire out as quickly while trying to whip up a dish using this whisk. The whisk itself feels comfortable in hand while it mixes and aerates. You do have to be careful leaving it in the bowl unattended it is slightly heavy on the handle end. Delivery was timely. Planning on ordering a couple for gifts for my mother-in-law who has trouble with wrist pain.

I bought this simply for the color which is not the turquoise light retro blue shown but more of a darker teal... I would have liked to known this and would have not bought this one.

Even though several other cooks had recommended this whisk, I was skeptical about spending $20 for a kitchen utensil. I waited until I could get a good deal on shipping, and took the plunge. When it arrived, and I had a chance to use it....
Not surprisingly, Le Creuset has created another gorgeous, balanced and durable product. The handle is rubberized silicone, which is easy to grip and feels very comfortable in the hand. It's a good length for all kinds of bowls & pans, and is strong enough to handle thick batters and sauces.
I also own the larger Chef'n silicone-dipped whisk, which is also very nice. But I always reach for Le Creuset first.
