1 out of 5 stars Can't load this game onto my computer   January 25, 2009

This was a waste of my money. Story seems interesting enough but I couldn't load it on to my computer. The last time I tried it, it froze the computer. My computer is an expensive one, not an old one either. Lots of RAM and a very big hard drive. Will try to load it one more time andif that doesn't work I will go online to see if there is a way to load this game. Anyone have any advice???

1 out of 5 stars Worst game I've ever played.   January 4, 2009

No kidding. The worst of the worst of adventure badness. I'm quitting the game 3/4 through because I can't find my way around the park. I can see where I need to go, but the green arrows don't let me go there.

The few puzzles are easy but pointless - easy, that is, except for the part where, for no real reason, you have to navigate to the other end of the park and back. Good luck doing that. I've seen that Tunnel of Terror one too many times. Screw it, it's not worth it. The story is hackneyed and I don't give a hoot about the characters.

The only good thing about this game is the voice characterization, which is exceptional. Other than that - I wouldn't play this game for free. Literally. This was a gift, and I'm throwing it away.

5 out of 5 stars Supernatural Amusements   October 12, 2008

Supernatural Amusements

Pros:

1. Compelling characters -- Delaware St. John and Kelly Bradford -- on a quest to investigate supernatural events in a deserted amusement park, once the scene of a terrible tragedy.
2. Snowy, nocturnal environments, spooky light effects, haunting atmosphere. A Ferris wheel, funhouse and grinning clown statues with dark, feral beings lurking in the shadows.
3. Clever puzzle design, intriguing story, eerie music. First person perspective, point-and-click interface.

Cons:

1. Character movement in the cut scenes is a bit stiff.
2. One location in a multi-stepped puzzle is confusing.

Bottom line:

Delaware St. John and Kelly Bradford make a great "paranormal detection" team in this adventure game series. I hope we see more of them!
