Addictive as hell April 8, 2009 Ed-kun (Salem, OR USA) Probably one of the best games I've played in years. The PSP version of Disgaea features everything that made the original so amazing, plus plenty of bonus features not found anywhere else. (At least, anywhere other than the DS version, but more on that in a bit) As for getting your bang out of your buck, i'm not sure you'll ever find a better deal. Disgaea on PSP has enough content to easily last you hundreds of hours of gameplay. It might be a bit repetitive to some, but for fans of strategy RPGs, this game is worth every penny! Last, I'd go so far as to say this is the best version of Disgaea available. While it doesn't have the playable Plenair character found on the DS version, it does have everything else. In addition, it also looks and sounds a hell of a lot better than it does on DS. (Not to sound like a Sony fanboy, but i've tried it on DS. The game does not look good, and the audio grates on my ears) That said, you're getting the best in video and sound as well as getting the vast majority of extra content available in any Disgaea (1) version.
Refreshingly Funny Epic Adventure November 29, 2008 J. Glessner (Bellingham, Wa) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Disgaea has a humor that caught me off guard and that personally I find a bit refreshing. Game play is turn based strategy and is very well done. Perhaps it is my lack of skill in this game style, but I have found that a fair amount of level/skill grinding is essential, which leads to relatively decent time gaps between story sequences. Overall a great story, great humor, good game play, decently challenging, and did I mention long? I'd recommend this game to everybody.
The best waste of time, now in the palm of your hand! November 19, 2008 Davidius (Seattle, WA USA) I love this game, all the way back to when I first played it on the PS2. I'm glad that for the port, new content was added, such as Etna mode, more levels, and multi-player trading and combat via WLAN. Good game ported to handheld = Good Good game ported to handheld with new content = Better
Amazing October 31, 2008 Alec Rossi (Toledo, OH, USA) This game was very good, as was the series in a whole. the only thing i got a problem, with was the weapons system, the old one was better! XD
Disgaea Upgraded September 7, 2008 Bret Four great like the original with a more features, love the fact that I can fight other players.
