Front wheels always pop off May 8, 2009 Customer in Maryland (Takoma Park, MD) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This stroller is lightweight and easy to maneuver. However, it is not rugged and durable, like the advertisement says. It's flimsy and, after 9 months of occasional use, starting to feel rickety.
The worst problem is that the front wheels just snap on when you assemble it, and they pop off very easily over the slightest bump . Sometimes all three sets pop off at once. We are known in our neighborhood for chasing our stroller wheels all over the place when we go out for walks. They have been popping off since shortly after we got it. We should have returned it but didn't have time.
Another annoyance is that the sunshades not only provide no shade, but they pop off every time we close up the stroller. We finally just took them off for good.
I'm now doing what I should have done in the first place and springing for a higher quality stroller.
Great for airports, not for much else April 9, 2009 K. Nikolas (North Shore, HI) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this stroller as a backup to the Eddie Bauer tandem one that my twin boy's car seats fit into. Now that they've outgrown the tandem, I use this stroller primarily and am looking to replace it. We have traveled back and forth to the mainland with our twin boys and this stroller several times. This stroller has some hits and some misses:
PROS:
~Very easy to fold, so it's a breeze to close and put through the x-ray machine at the airport.
~Lightweight, easy to get in and out of the car
~Easy to wipe clean
~Comfortable handles
CONS:
~The sun shades are an absolute joke. Supposedly there is some secret way to fold the stroller perfectly where the sunshade will not get bent out of shape. With 3 young children, I am more inclined to unlock and fold the stroller with one hand while holding a baby in the other arm. Now the shades are so bent that the shade pops off while we are walking through the mall, just barely missing my face, my coffee, whatever. These shades are EXCEPTIONALLY flimsy, I can't stress that enough. They are also so narrow that they are pointless anyway. I threw mine away within 3 months of buying the stroller.
~No storage other than two tiny little pouches on either side. I usually put a sippy cup in each side, but the boys can't really get the cups out themselves because the pouches are sort of in an awkward spot.
~Not very easy to maneuver. My boys are the same weight so there is really no excuse for how hard the stroller is to push around tight corners or up small inclines. If I try and push one twin on one side and my 4 year old on the other, it's impossible.
~The wheels sometimes lock to the side at the most inopportune times, making it difficult to get out of someone's way or hurry through a door that a nice person is holding open for me.
Overall I would recommend this stroller as an emergency backup, or specifically for travel. It's great for the airport, like I said. The gate crew never has any trouble opening/closing it for me and it's easy to put through the x-ray machine. It is DEFINITELY not a good primary stroller or is it good for walks, malls, etc.
Spoiled by Good Strollers December 17, 2008 K2 (Decatur, GA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this stroller for a trip to Disney World with my almost 4 year old and almost 1 year old so that we didn't have to travel with our large double jogging stroller. The sun screens didn't screen much, no harness and no snack tray does not work well with a baby, and there was almost no storage. The low price allowed me to purchase an "extra" stroller and it's probably a decent inexpensive double stroller, but I got what I paid for - a bare bones twin stroller that was lousy for a Disney vacation.
the best double stroller for the price! November 22, 2008 David, Sabrina, Jakob, Jonah, Josh Kinsbourne (San Francisco, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This jeep double stroller is the best!! I've had many other double strollers that are much heavier, bigger, harder to fold, and much more expensive!! This stroller by Jeep is easy to use, fold, lightweight, durable on all kinds of terrain, the seats recline individually so one kid can sleep while the other doesn't have to, etc. etc. etc. I could go on but I think I've made my point! The best part is that it's under $100.00!!!!!!!! It's also a little more narrow than other side-by-side stollers so can fit through most doorways without a problem! There is no storage basket, but who cares, the handles are positioned well so that the diaper bag /purse, grocery bags, etc. can hang on the handles without a problem!!! Well worth the money!!!
Easy to push! November 18, 2008 Tonya Parham (Gilbert, AZ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was worried that a double stroller would be too hard to push, but this one pushes very nicely. It also folds smaller than my other single stroller which is really nice. As some of the other reviews have mentioned the cupholder falls off, and the sun shades aren't much use, but other than that I am so completely happy with my purchase!
