3 out of 5 stars A Decent Game But It's No Rune Factory Frontier   June 28, 2009
Rich (CA)
After playing Rune Factory Frontier I was looking at the other game similar to that one and after seeing a few trailers and the price I figured why not, and while the game turned out to be a little entertaining an the end it wasn't up to par of the aforementioned game. The animation is cute but it seems a little to bleak and under developed for a recent game, the bits of voice audio bits in the game is also a headache as the cast seem so apathetic and just downright awful it's better to just read the text bubbles, the load time was also a great headache when you go from the town to your home or to another area the load time was usually awhile and while it wasn't a great deal of time having to go through the load screen every time you seem to go a different area was quite a hassle. The farming is a little neat but again if you played RFF it just doesn't seem to match up. It's a little neat that you can play as a boy or girl and an response try get married to either a male or female town character. But after a few days it does seem to get a bit boring as you try and farm your fields and fish to make money, and bring up friendship points with the towns people. So while it is a somewhat entertaining game at the end if you've played RFF I say stay with that and just pass this one over..

5 out of 5 stars Very Addictive   June 15, 2009

This game is such a great game to play as an alternate reality. Who doesn't like making lots of money and buying things you want while growing veggies and fruits. Riding horses. Find love and marrying them. I love this game!!!!! Hours upon hours I play. I cannot stop. :)

5 out of 5 stars My favorite game!   June 12, 2009
Tamara (Painesville, OH United States)
I have never played the other HM games, so this was all new to me. After I got the hang of it, I quickly became totally addicted! It's like Animal Crossing, but better (IMHO) because there are tasks to complete and people to develop relationships with. I hope and pray that they will continue to make more HM games!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Addicting   May 9, 2009

This is a great game. There are so many things to do--fishing, mining, gardening, harvesting, meeting people, gathering pets, courtship and marriage. And all that is only the daily stuff, the main goal is finding clues, opening rainbows, and restoring the Harvest Moon Goddess to the island. The seasons come and go, you can compare your yearly incomes in all your resources. It's so awesome to play, it's difficult to find an ending spot, cuz there's always something you want to do the next day. The most important help I found was the refreshing spring behind the waterfall which restores all your stamina. At first you lose your stamina very quickly until you upgrade your tools, but you can go to the spring once a day and regain your stamina. The game keeps lists of all the fish you catch, crops you plant, gems you mine, etc and I like to try to complete the lists. We've had the game since Feb and I've completed it once and am doing it again, cuz I didn't get married the first time. What I love about this game is the variety and challenge to do it all.
