The Jacks Are Loose January 13, 2009

I bought a pair of these to replace the silver cables I had been using - the free ones that come with every modem, phone, etc. My computer's back panel is a cable farm and I am replacing with shielded cables wherever possible.
These cables are nice, but I am finding that the jacks don't "click" into place on some legacy equipment. When I plugged into my modem, the cable clicked snugly into place. But they did not lock into my wall jack or my surge protector. Oh, they work, but they are as loose as a toddler's tooth and can fall out of the socket easily.
You may end up replacing more than just your cables when you buy these.
